If you are looking for a spacious home with comfortable and abundant indoor and outdoor seating, a vast backyard with gorgeous views of the Hudson River, top of the line cooking appliances and an outdoor chef's kitchen in a home that was fully renovated and has made unforgettable memories for so many wonderful families and groups, you have found what you are looking for!
The Hudson Hideaway is an inviting 8 Bedroom home that includes 2 Living rooms, a cozy zen den, a 1200 Sq foot game room with karaoke stage, Large therapeutic hot tub, Private beach with a 55-foot dock, swimming pool, pool spa, tanning ledge and a large pavilion with a roof to cover a full outdoor chef's kitchen and bar. AND COMING AT THE END OF JUNE 2024 - a private pickleball court!
The pavilion has a large wood fireplace and seating area that is available for year round use. In the warmer months, the pool area has a full bathroom and ice machine.
Use our 55-foot private dock to attach your own private watercraft, catch some fish, or just chill in the sun.
Soak yourself in our 9-person therapeutic spa. Have a PIZZA NIGHT and make your favorite pizzas in the outdoor ALFA ONE pizza oven which is always a great bonding experience with family, friends and co-workers.
Enjoy the inside gourmet kitchen ready to serve large groups which includes a Double Oven and Thermador Gas Range top.
The game room offers dual basketball challenge, air hockey, ping pong, pool table, poker table, foosball and a karaoke stage with a Karafun Karaoke system! Plenty of strobe lights, stage lights and DJ Lighting to set whatever mood you desire. Outdoor activities include volleyball, pickleball (June 2024) kayaking, horseshoes, batting cage, a Swingsesh swingset ( a child's playset that doubles as an adult fitness station)Cornhole, Tetherball and so much more.
Enjoy YOUTUBE-TV on all TV'S inside and outside the home. The game room, living room, all 8 bedrooms and outside areas have TV's. There are two 85-inch outdoor TV's by the fireplace and seating area under the porch.
Ski at Hunter Mountain or Wyndham, an average 40-minute drive from the home.
After a full day at the slopes, come back and soak in the hot tub. Nothing better than the large open view of the Hudson River, the star filled sky, and a snow filled 3.5 acre back yard while sitting in the spa.
There are two Wilderness Pungo 120 Kayaks at the home for your use.
Take a 10-minute walk to the quaint riverfront village and visit the cozy bookstore cafe, unique liquor store with many local one-of-a-kind choices, the Violet Moon Apothecary, or the gourmet general store for many organic and eclectic tastings.

*PLEASE NOTE - the house is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, The owners, neighbors and local law enforcement will not tolerate gatherings that do not follow the Town laws with loud noise, unruly behavior or disrespect of people and property. Due to past renters not following the guidelines, we will not rent to adult only groups under the age of 30. We understand the need to get away with friends for a weekend of partying, however this is not the location for those parties.
This is a smoke free and pet free home.
Our home is located a short distance from many ski resorts, hiking trails and golf courses as well as many local farms, wineries and orchards where you can pick your own produce or take a hay ride. If its shopping malls you want, the Albany Crossgates Mall is just a 25 minute drive away. Hudson, Catskill, and Woodstock are great towns for a day visit and just a short drive away.

Summary: This was the most amazing VRBO yet! The host was eager to help in any way possible, and was very easy to communicate with. The house itself was so comfortable and clean. The pool house was NEXT level! Our children and grandchildren were in that pool all day. The outdoor kitchen was magazine beautiful. Summary: We had a group of 18 from ages 3 to 80 for a family reunion and this place was perfect. Wonderful activities and enough indoor gathering spots for large groups and small. We has very hot weather and rainy days and the facilities could deal with both extremes. The owner is wonderful to work with and very responsive.

Summary: We had a family gathering with 21 people from ages of 1 month to 81 years, and the property provided absolutely everything we needed! The home and adjacent pavilion/pool was extremely clean and very useful and fun! The pizza oven is a must do and we were able to make 18 fantastic and delicious make your own pizzas one evening. The upstairs game room was especially fun and entertaining for our family. I can't say enough how responsive and caring the owners were with the lead up and time of our stay at Hudson Hideaway. My family will definitely be looking to spend time together at this "personal resort" in the near future.

Summary: Probably the best airbnb/vrbo experience I've ever had. Jody was a fantastic host. Extremely thorough and detailed with all gadgets in the house. An amazing house to stay with a huge group (we had 18 and still had extra rooms!) There's every single game and thing you'd want to do and a beautiful view of the Hudson. 100/10, thanks Jody!

Summary: Went with a family of 15 people, ranging in ages from 9 through 87. Everyone found something to do, whether inside, outside, or sort of in between on the covered porches. We went in the winter, so we didn’t make use of the pool or the river, but are hoping to return to do so.The owner is unbelievably responsive and so organized. We absolutely loved communicating with him. While the house is listed as a five bath, one of those is in the pool house, only accessible in the warmer months, so that was unexpected. Jody , the owner, says that he is planning to add at least one more bathroom, so keep an eye out for that! We can’t wait to come back. *note- there are a few steps in the house, so for someone with mobility issues it might be a little tricky to use the game room or lower bedrooms.
